DiscWorld Jingo Submarine by Malici0us DiscWorld Jingo Submarine by Malici0us
This is the final product of one of the assignments for my digital painting class. I was given the task of creating a vehicle based off a passage of descriptive text from the book Disk World Jingo.

Turns out this thing is called the "Going-Under-The-Water-Safely Device". lol.

Thought i do not have the passage of text i was initally given about the vehicle, i found this wiki information to be interesting.

Discworld is a comedic fantasy book series by the British author Terry Pratchett.
"The Discworld equivalent of our world's submarine, invented by Leonard da Quirm. At the time of use during the Ankh-Morpork/Klatch conflict (see Jingo), the Device was manned by Leonard, Lord Vetinari, Sergeant Colon, and Corporal Nobbs. The device is usually powered by pedaling, but also has a large, screw-threaded auger for boring into a ship's hull just very slightly for attachment, so that the Device sort of gets towed as the ship sails. Leonard was very shocked when Corporal Nobbs suggested that this auger could be used to bore clean through the hull and sink a ship. The Going-Under-The-Water-Safely Device is another fine example for showing that Leonard's genius does not cover the field of creative naming. "

Wonderfully done! Jingo is one of the funniest in the series. It has so many great Vetinari moments , and Leonard is just precious
I don't want to bother you with this, but I realy hate it when people are being disrespectfull to artists. This tumblr blog  contains a lot of unscourced discworld fanart, and I would be happier if Idon't have to see this anymore. I know that this behaviour is common and hurtfull and happens to a lot of artist. This blogger is unfortunatelly is a serious offender
great-atuin-discworld.tumblr.c…. I think your hard workd deserves more than an uscourced repost

Have a good day
